San Francisco, Calif. - Service Employees International Union International President Mary Kay Henry released the following statement on Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the Supreme Court:
“After years of rigging our courts for the rich and powerful, 52 Republican senators just confirmed a Supreme Court nominee who will take away healthcare from millions of people in the middle of a pandemic and trample our rights. They are politicizing the courts because they know that the majority of working people don’t agree with their policies. But we are standing up for our democracy and going to the voting booth to hold them accountable and we won’t stop until our voices are heard.”
