2025 is kicking off with some BIG news for workers!
SEIU, our union of 2M members, just joined the AFL-CIO – the largest federation of unions in the country with 13M members.
United, we will take on corporate union-busters and the politicians who do their bidding.
United, we’re going to unrig the rules once and for all, so all workers who want a union can have one – regardless of race, gender or status.
Over the last few years, workers have built momentum we haven’t seen in a generation. And the majority of Americans support workers’ right to a union. Yet, too many of us still struggle to make ends meet in jobs with no respect and no voice.
And we know things aren’t getting easier. While the forces that oppose us are gathering power, we’re not letting their divisive rhetoric divide or stop us. In fact, we’re coming together to help build the biggest, baddest labor movement this country has ever seen. This is how we change the rules.
Together we are strong, and together we will build a movement of workers who will fight — on the job and at the ballot box — for higher pay, expanded benefits and new rules that let us join together in unions and organize across industries.
There’s power in unity. As an airport service worker currently fighting for my first contract and who demanded alongside my co-workers union recognition in an industry that has historically left us out, I’ve seen firsthand the power of workers when we organize together. With our AFL-CIO siblings beside us, we’ll be unstoppable.
