I want to take a second to celebrate our collective work this election. We voted, we organized, we had tough conversations and we mobilized like never before. Hell, many of us are still out knocking doors and helping voters get to the polls.
While we’re waiting for the results tonight and possibly into the coming days, we won’t be waiting to build the future we want. Because of you, win or lose, rain or shine, I feel good about the contributions we made to making sure workers’ voices are heard. We reached Black, Latino, Asian, working class, and young voters that few others were mobilizing.
As we wait, here are some impressive stats that show that there’s simply not a better team in the game than working people.
But numbers alone can’t capture the full impact of our action — each conversation is about more than just a single candidate. They’re helping us build worker power, raise our issues, and organize for long-term change. This is how we reach our goal of organizing 1M new members into our union and changing the rules of the games so every worker who wants a union can have one.
You all have led through this season with incredible joy, with love for this country, for workers, for democracy and freedom. Let’s carry that forward. Let’s remember to lean into joy, to lean into our belief in each other, and to find new ways to win together.
