The following is a statement from Wisconsin McDonald's worker and Fight for $15 and a Union activist Jennifer Berry on the Wisconsin Supreme Court's decision to cancel the trial on SEIU's lawsuit and reinstate much of the laws from the lame duck session:
"Last night's decision by the Wisconsin Supreme Court is proof that Republican politicians in our state are bitter about last year’s election results. Thousands of voters like me went to the polls last November and defeated Gov. Scott Walker and other state lawmakers who have done nothing but attack our healthcare, our paychecks and our families. The court’s decision is nothing more than a political power grab. But voters like me are not giving up. We're going to keep organizing to demand a voice in our communities, and we're not going to stop until we win."
