SEIU’s Henry: SEIU’s Unstoppable Ground Force Helps Move Clinton Further Down the Path to Nomination

WASHINGTON—SEIU International President Mary Kay Henry issued the following statement on tonight’s primary results:

“Across the country, working families are in the fight of their lives for better wages, affordable care for their children and parents, and for immigrant and racial justice. The extremist agenda being driven from the right proves the stakes couldn't be higher. Tonight, in state after state, working families turned out for the win because they know Hillary Clinton will fight for a better future for everyone. With their support, she has continued building her delegate lead and is further down the path to being the Democratic nominee for president.

“SEIU members know how important it is to have leaders in office with messages of inclusion and opportunity, not exclusion and hatred. Hillary Clinton will stand beside SEIU’s two million members, and working families across the country, to ensure they can care for their loved ones and help their children have a better life. Our members are more motivated than ever to get involved, and from knocking on doors to sitting down and talking with their neighbors about the issues, SEIU’s ground force for change is unstoppable. They are going to continue charging ahead to win the nomination, and the election, for our families by electing Hillary Clinton the Democratic nominee and next President of the United States.”
