SEIU’s Henry: SEIU Ground Force Continues to Rally Behind Clinton

WASHINGTON—SEIU International President Mary Kay Henry issued the following statement on tonight’s primary results from Michigan and Mississippi:

“Across the country, working families are in the fight of their lives for better wages, affordable care for their children and parents, and for immigrant and racial justice. The extremist agenda being driven from the right proves the stakes couldn't be higher.

“SEIU members in Michigan know all too well the importance of having leaders in office who have a message of inclusion and opportunity, not exclusion and hatred. The Flint water crisis has shown the country why we need a champion who will ensure working families are able to take care of their families and their loved ones. Our members are more motivated than ever to get involved, and from knocking on doors to sitting down and talking with their neighbors about the issues, SEIU’s ground force for change is going to continue charging ahead to win the nomination, and the election, for our families by electing Hillary Clinton the Democratic nominee and next President of the United States.”
