WASHINGTON, DC - After Congressman John Dingell (D-MI) announced he will retire at the end of his current term, Mary Kay Henry, President of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), issued the following statement:

During his unmatched tenure in the House, he was a true champion on the issues that matter to working families. He was a pioneer in the effort to expand access to quality, affordable healthcare, a staunch civil rights advocate and a tireless champion for working people everywhere.
