Washington, DC--After Kaiser Permanente workers in California voted to remain in SEIU-UHW, Mary Kay Henry, International President of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), issued the following statement:

We are heartened that 45,000 Kaiser healthcare workers have reaffirmed their membership in SEIU-UHW in election results tabulated today by the National Labor Relations Board. By coming together healthcare workers across California have secured their contract, one of the best in the nation and a standard-bearer for the healthcare industry. This vote helps to secure middle class jobs across the state and maintain standards for healthcare workers and patients across the country."
