New Poll: Majority of Americans Favor Senate Bipartisan Immigration Bill with Roadmap to Citizenship
Findings show pro-immigrant environment and voter support for passing a comprehensive immigration solution in 2013
WASHINGTON, DC - As the U.S. Senate gears up to debate the new immigration bill, a new poll continues to fuel the American momentum for commonsense immigration reform. A solid majority of Americans, from both sides of the aisle, favor the bipartisan immigration approach recently introduced in the Senate and want Congress to once and for all fix our broken immigration system.
The new poll, conducted by Hart Research Associates and commissioned by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), finds that 73% of Americans, including 66% of Republicans, favor the immigration plan recently introduced in the Senate, with many favoring it due to its inclusion of a roadmap to citizenship for the millions of aspiring citizens in America.
