SEIU's Mary Kay Henry on Connecticut School Shooting Tragedy

WASHINGTON, DC - After the shooting today at a school in Newtown, Connecticut, Mary Kay Henry, President of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), issued the following statement:

On behalf of the 2.1 million members of SEIU, I extend our deepest sympathies to the parents and school employees affected by today's school shooting in Connecticut. Our prayers are with students, parents, teachers, school staff and first responders. We join in fervent hope that children everywhere can learn and grow in safety, for they are our future."
