With post-convention attention focused on the potential voting strength of Latinos, the national Latino voter education campaign odos A Votar! (Let's Vote!) swings through Colorado on Friday, September 7.

Sponsored by 10 national groups and local affiliates,* odos A Votar! is helping register Latino voters and turn out a record 12 million Latinos on Nov. 6. Latino vote advocates are reminding potential voters they have the power to determine who wins the election and place in front of the next Congress a policy agenda that addresses their concerns.

In 2008, Colorado's Hispanic voters proved to be the swing electorate. Hispanics made up 13 percent of the 2008 electorate in the presidential election, compared to 8 percent in 2004. http://www.pewhispanic.org/files/reports/98.pdf
