National Latino Advocacy and Civil Rights Groups to Embark on <i>

Stops in Stockton, LA, Riverside & San Diego

STOCKTON, CA -- California will be the starting point this week of a Latino voter public education campaign, odos a Votar! ("Let's Vote"), sponsored by national Latino advocacy groups to register and mobilize Latino voters throughout the country.

Joining forces on the tour across the U.S. are Mi Familia Vota (MFV), the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Service Employees International Union (SEIU), National Council of La Raza (NCLR), Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA), Center for Community Change (CCC), Presente.org, Voto Latino, and the Hispanic Federation. The groups will work with activists on the ground and online to register Latino voters, inform them of the issues at stake in this election, and increase voter turnout.

The Latino voter public education campaign will begin TONIGHT with a Twitter Town Hall at 5 pm Pacific, 8 pm Eastern. The hashtag is #voto12
