SEIU MEMBERS LAUNCH TV AD ON SUNUNU TIES TO DRUG COMPANIES AND INSURANCE INDUSTRY
Statewide Ads Begin Today
Concord, NH - SEIU, the nation's largest union of health care workers, will begin airing a new television ad, titled "Higher Costs,"throughout New Hampshire today highlighting Senator John Sununu's large political contributions from prescription drug companies and the health insurance industry.
The independent ad buy of $600,000 is in response to Sununu's recently released health care plan that jeopardizes quality, affordable health care for hard-working Granite State families. It amounts to little more than another taxpayer-financed thank you to Sununu's corporate friends that have financed his Senate campaign.
The ad can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDNULfpL0Wg
The script follows:
"Higher Costs"- 30 seconds
From the mom who can't afford her child's checkup/font>
To the senior who can't pay for prescriptions/font>
New Hampshire families are struggling. And Senator John Sununu is making things worse.
Sununu took over $200,000 in contributions from drug companies and HMOs, and then voted against lower drug prices.
His plan protects HMO profits and leaves us paying more.
John Sununu. Special interest money for him. Higher costs for us.
