SEIU Members Launch TV Ad Supporting Jay Nixon's Gubernatorial Bid

Statewide Ad Highlights Nixon's Commitment to Affordable Health Care

MISSOURI - SEIU, the nation's largest union of health care workers, will begin airing a new television ad throughout Missouri tomorrow, supporting Jay Nixon as the best choice for Missouri voters concerned about health care.

The ad, titled Better,"highlights Nixon's commitment to making health care more affordable for all Missourians - particularly in the aftermath of devastating health care cuts enacted under the Blunt Administration.

The cost of the ad buy is $450,000, the largest independent ad buy focused on the general election to date. Beginning Tuesday morning, Missouri voters will see the ad for the next two weeks on broadcast and cable TV stations throughout the state .

"Better" - 30 seconds
100,000 Missourians lost health insurance. More than 23,000 kids lost coverage.

Health care benefits slashed for 300,000. All casualties of Governor Blunt's deep cuts to health care.

Jay Nixon believes Missouri deserves better. He knows we've got to fix health care and make it affordable for all Missourians.
