With the general election now in full swing, SEIU, the nation's largest and fasting-growing union, announced recently a general election campaign that will be the largest and most aggressive political operation in the union's history. Nurses, child care and home care workers, janitors, security officers and other SEIU members across the country are already talking to voters and hitting the streets in key states and races across the country.

By working with progressive partners and other Change to Win unions, SEIU's $85 million budget will be maximized through direct voter contact over by phone, at the door, through direct mail and paid advertising on TV and radio.

The efforts in each of the battleground states will reflect each specific race but many will include visits by the Road to American Health Care"bus tour, voter registration campaigns as well as "Walk A Day In My Shoes"events with SEIU endorsed candidates.

To reserve a line for the question and answer session following Burger's comments, contact Mark McCullough at 202-730-7283 or Mark.McCullough@seiu.org."
