SEIU Members Engage in Aggressive GOTV Campaign in Indiana
TV ADS NOW UP SUPPORTING OBAMA AND CARSON
Washington, DC--With less than a week to go before Indiana's Democratic Primary on Tuesday, May 6, SEIU members are stepping up their efforts on behalf of Senator Obama for President. Starting today, SEIU will be up on the air statewide urging voters to support Barack Obama on May 6. The ad is part of an extensive campaign that SEIU members are waging to get out the vote for Obama in the remaining days before the primary. In addition to campaigning for Obama, SEIU members are also going door to door and making phone calls on behalf of Jill Long Thompson, candidate for Governor, and Congressman Andr Carson in Indiana's 7th District.
Voters in Indiana have a chance this Tuesday to elect candidates who will change our broken health care system and help create a better future for our kids,"said Secretary-Treasurer Anna Burger. "SEIU members are working tirelessly to support Barack Obama, Jill Long Thompson and Andre Carson because they will help create a new American Dream for all of us."
"New Building" focuses on Barack Obama's opposition to the Iraq war from the beginning, and features some of the ways that Indiana's $8 billion in hard-earned tax dollars has been spent on schools and roads in Iraq instead of going to education and infrastructure here at home.
