SEIU Members Help Carry Obama to Overwhelming Victory in Wyoming
SEIU members helped carry Sen. Obama to an overwhelming victory in the Wyoming caucuses today with hundreds of SEIU members from every corner of the state turning out their coworkers, families, and friends to set record caucus participation. SEIU has more than 1,200 members in the state.
"SEIU members came out in record numbers today because they know Barack Obama is the only candidate who can win health care for all, a paycheck that supports a family, and a chance at the American Dream,"said SEIU Secretary-Treasurer Anna Burger. "Senator Obama's ability to win in states of every size in every region of the country is proof of his ability to unite Americans around the solutions our families need."
With more than 130,000 members in the upcoming primary states, including 75,000 in Pennsylvania, SEIU members are stepping up their campaign to knock on more doors, make more phone calls, and talk to more coworkers than any group of workers in history to win the nomination for Barack Obama.
