CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND TELL THEM TO VOTE NO ON FAST TRACK.

Let them know we do not agree with the fast track bill. Tell them to VOTE NO on fast track. Trade agreements such as the "TPP" should be discussed on the floor not rushed through Congress.

Call the U.S. Capitol switchboard at 1-202-225-3121 and ask the operator to connect you to your representative's office. If you are unsure about your representative's name, tell them your ZIP code.

Use the script below to give them a call:
Hello, my name is __ (name) __ . I am from ___(your town or city)___. I’m calling today about fast track trade authority. The fast track bill introduced by Rep. David Camp would give away my representative’s authority to ensure we are not slammed with another dangerous trade agreement. I need to know that my representative is going to stand up for me and not give away the power to protect my interests. Stopping fast track and maintaining Congress’ constitutional authority over trade deals is especially important now because President Obama wants to complete negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) “free trade” deal this year.
After years of secret negotiations, the leaked TPP text reveal this deal would offshore our jobs and submit us to the jurisdiction of foreign tribunals that can order payment of U.S. tax dollars to foreign corporations that do not like our laws. Fast track would let the president sign this deal before Congress even gets to vote on it and then railroad it through Congress with limited debate.
It’s Congress’ job to fully vet trade deals and ensure they work for everyone. It would be irresponsible for members of Congress to give up their authority over trade when the TPP is lurking in the shadows.
Would Representative ___(name)___ please commit to vote “no” on fast track?
