Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility
For thirty years the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) has been a leader of the corporate social responsibility movement. Each year ICCR-member religious institutional investors sponsor over 100 shareholder resolutions on major social and environmental issues.  The site also has sample language for a number of shareholder resolutions.

Stanford Securities Class Action Clearinghouse
The Stanford Securities Class Action Clearinghouse provides detailed information relating to the prosecution, defense, and settlement of federal class action securities fraud litigation. The Clearinghouse identifies 1364 issuers that have been named in federal class action securities fraud lawsuits since passage of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995.

U.S. Government Agencies

Department of Labor
The department of the federal government which enforces ERISA, the law which defines the fiduciary obligations of trustees of private sector pension funds.  This law influences significantly the definition of fiduciary responsibility for public fund trustees.

Securities and Exchange Commission
The federal government agency which regulates the securities of publicly-traded American companies and the operations of investment managers.  Provides access to all publicly filed reports by American companies.  See next link for free web access to SEC information.

EDGAR
EDGAR, the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval system, performs automated collection, validation, indexing, acceptance, and forwarding of submissions by companies and others who are required by law to file forms with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Not all documents filed with the Commission by public companies will be available on EDGAR. Filings are posted 24 hours after date of filing. This site provides access to EDGAR information. In addition, Free Edgar.com provides access to EDGAR filings.  On either site, users can search small business information, SEC filings, and current events analysis among others. Search by keyword, company name and ticker symbol.
