Health Care for All Now!

Health Care for All

America’s health care system is broken: 47 million are uninsured and tens of millions more at risk of losing coverage.

The time has come for health care reform that covers everyone, cuts costs and provides better care.  In January 2009, with Barack Obama as president and congressional leaders committed to change, SEIU will help bring business leaders, health care providers, workers, community organizations and elected officials together to fix the nation's broken health care system.

The work starts now! Join us and together we can ensure access to quality, affordable health care for every man, woman and child in America.

Building a New American Health Care System

Over the past several years, SEIU and its members have become the strongest force for quality affordable health care anywhere in America. The critical 2008 elections give us the unprecedented opportunity to raise the bar even higher. We are seizing that opportunity and will not stop until every man, woman and child has quality, affordable care they can count on.

SEIU has compiled a history of the union’s work in the health care movement along with our members’ vision for the future. You can read our story here.
