SEIU invests $1.1 million on TV to ensure people know Toomey stands against working families
Incumbent Senator Pat Toomey is not a man without friends. Oil lobbyists, CEOs and millionaires come to mind. And his record shows how generous he was to them, even as he voted to raise taxes on working Pennsylvanians.
A new television ad — airing in the Pittsburgh, Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton/Hazleton markets and backed by a $1.1 million investment from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) — will make sure people know exactly what Toomey voted for:
“Toomey even wanted to give his good friends the biggest gift of all,” the ad explains, showing Toomey on video saying who he really stands with:
“I think the solution is to eliminate corporate taxes altogether.”
“Pat Toomey puts millionaires and Big Oil first and working people last — that’s how he voted and that’s his record in the Senate,” said Matt Yarnell, President of SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania. “Fortunately, we have a choice this fall, and the candidate who stands with hardworking Pennsylvanians is Katie McGinty. She’ll fight for us.”
